I’ve been sitting in the back seat of my car for half and hour tried to pry this shattered speaker cover off. 5 years of parking in the sun had dried the plastic out to the point of crumbling. Fortunately our awesome VA mechanic told me to just replace them myself. On the web, people were saying that their mechanics were quoting hundreds of dollars to replace a ton more. I hope I find someplace here in la thats even 75% as good as our va guy was. :( Anyways, the plan was to make the mess with the speakers, replace the air filter, then on saturday take the car to jiffy lube and get the oil changed and interior vacuumed. Then to the car wash to get all the gunk off of it. And finally to a mechanic that’s gotten good reviews on yelp to get the maintenance light turned off since camry recently hit 75000. But now that I’m working on Saturday and the other speaker cover is being difficult I don’t know if all will go according to plan….
